GTA Health Emergency Risk Communication Workshop
GTA Health Emergency Risk Communication Workshop was held over October 22-23, 2014 at the downtown Cathedral Centre.
Led by John Rainford, Bill Hall and Nyka Alexander the session brought together representatives from the Ministry of Health, regional and local health authorities, several hospitals in the area along with key NGO players such as the Red Cross, Médecins sans Frontières, and the Salvation Army.
Risk Communication for Health Emergencies Workshop in Flic-en-Flac, Mauritius
Risk Communication for Health Emergencies Workshop organized by the Institut Pasteur and The Warning Project was staged December 15-17, 2014 in Flic-en-Flac, Mauritius. Led by John Rainford and Tiffany Domingo, the session brought together senior representatives from eight countries in the region including Madagascar, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Gabon, Senegal and Tchad. Ebola risk communication was a particular focus of the meetings as several countries in attendance had been designated a high priority for Ebola Virus Disease preparedness by the World Health Organization.
